Android Engineer

Robinhood is a company focused on democratizing finance for all, and they are seeking an Android Engineer to join their elite team. The role involves designing and developing mobile features that support growth initiatives across the brokerage experience, collaborating with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to enhance user journeys and ensure performance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android features that support brokerage and trading experiences for ENG Gold customers
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure accurate and timely data delivery in mobile applications
• Improve app performance, reliability, and responsiveness across key trading workflows
• Write and maintain tests to ensure correctness of application behavior
• Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions to improve engineering quality

Skills

• 0-3 years experience building Android applications using Kotlin or Java
• Experience building UI using Android Views and/or Jetpack Compose
• Experience integrating APIs and handling real-time or near real-time data
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Comfortable debugging performance issues and improving application reliability
• Effective communication with engineers, product managers, and designers
