Job Summary
As an Audit Supervisor – Education, you will serve as an experienced and seasoned member of our audit team, performing and guiding other staff members in delivering multi-faceted and complex assignments and tasks for a variety of clients and businesses. You will demonstrate a breadth and depth of professional knowledge and technical skills, sharing accountability with the manager and partner to ensure exceptional client service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading engagement teams with an emphasis on collaboration, flexibility, and valuing the differences in others
- Performing and guiding other staff members in delivering high-quality audit services
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service
- Identifying and assessing risks, and developing audit plans and programs
- Conducting fieldwork, including interviews, observations, and testing
- Preparing and reviewing audit reports and other deliverables
- Collaborating with other team members to achieve audit objectives
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A BS/BA degree with a concentration in Accounting and active pursuit of CPA certification
- 4+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools with a public accounting firm
- Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with the client, engagement manager, or partner
While not required, the following are preferred:
- Experience working with a wide variety of clients and industries
- Familiarity with audit software and technology
- Experience with audit planning, risk assessment, and audit execution
