Bankruptcy Legal Assistant 

KML Law Group, P.C. is seeking a qualified candidate to join our Bankruptcy team in a remote business and learning environment. Please apply if you have an interest in the following practice area: residential bankruptcy. You must have strong computer skills (MS Word/Outlook/Excel), a positive orientation to client service, and an understanding of customer satisfaction coupled with attention to detail and a focus on client driven deadlines. You will receive extensive training in a professional atmosphere with opportunities to expand your knowledge. Prior experience and Bachelor or Associate degrees (or actively working towards a degree) are preferred, but not required for consideration.

The Bankruptcy Legal Assistant works closely with attorneys to manage and maintain assigned files.

Must be be organized, and disciplined

Responsibilities include: 

• Requesting and following up on missing documents for pleadings preparation 
• Pleading preparation e.g. Motion for Relief, Certificate/Notice of Default
• Filing pleadings with the courts 
• Bankruptcy case motion resolution 
• Direct communication with client and client systems
• Communication with debtors attorney

Experience:

Previous experience with bankruptcy and/or default mortgage servicing with specific regard to Pennsylvania and New Jersey desired.
