Overview
A global leader in bioprocessing solutions is seeking a Bioprocessing Account Manager to drive sales growth across East Japan.
This role focuses on expanding a portfolio of high-value products and solutions supporting the production of biologics, gene therapy, and cell therapy. You will work closely with biopharmaceutical clients, managing key accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and profitability within the assigned territory
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through proactive lead generation
Deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting via CRM systems
Business Development
Identify new opportunities and expand relationships with biopharma clients
Establish and manage strategic key accounts
Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders
Product & Technical Sales
Promote a portfolio of upstream, downstream, and single-use bioprocessing products
Clearly communicate product value propositions and differentiators
Support customer needs across manufacturing, QA/QC, and process development
Marketing & Market Insights
Execute local marketing initiatives (seminars, roadshows, promotions) in collaboration with marketing teams
Contribute to market research, product launches, and development initiatives
Provide market feedback and customer insights to internal teams
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with global teams across sales, marketing, and product development
Support customer audits, complaint handling, and forecasting activities
Participate in trade shows and industry events to generate leads
Requirements
Must-Have
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, or Engineering
8+ years of experience in biopharma or life sciences industry
Proven track record in B2B sales and key account management
Strong understanding of: Cell culture
Chromatography
Filtration
Business-level English
Preferred
Knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing
Experience working in a global organization
