The Role: California Licensed Mental Health Therapist
We're seeking an experienced California Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) with a focus on afternoon and evening sessions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a clinician-founded company, led by the renowned Dr. Helen Egger, and be part of a community that's changing the face of mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions via video-based telehealth to children aged 0-14 years old
- Deliver evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy for Anxiety, Parent Management Training (PMT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
- Create your own schedule within parameters, with a majority of clinical sessions taking place between 2 pm and later to meet the needs of our young clients and their families
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using our proprietary platform
- Participate in weekly consultation meetings, team meetings, and individual meetings with your clinical manager to ensure collaborative care
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the success of our team
About You: Essential Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Active California licensure as a LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Clinical Psychologist
- Experience providing telehealth therapy to children aged 0-14 and their families
- A background in delivering evidence-based practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using technology, including Google Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
- The ability to work from home with a reliable internet connection and maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- A passion for providing mental health care services to children and families, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in evidence-based practices
- Experience working in a team-based care environment
- Familiarity with Little Otter's platform and services
What We Offer: Compensation and Benefits
We provide a competitive compensation package that includes:
- A base salary ranging from $35,000 to $45,000 annually, paid twice a month, and determined by your experience, certifications, clinical skills, and location
- Incentive pay opportunities to earn an additional $10,000 to $28,000 annually, based on your caseload and performance
- A total compensation range of $35,000 to $73,000 annually
Our benefits package includes:
- Ample paid time off for rest and rejuvenation (12 days of paid holidays and generous paid time off after your first 3 months)
- $2,000 per year towards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and license renewal fees after 1 year of service
- A $200 stipend to outfit your home office
- $50 per month reimbursement towards internet costs
- Malpractice insurance coverage
