About the Direct Channel Strategy & Activation Team
The Direct Channel Strategy and Activation (DCS&A) team at arenaflex is at the heart of our customer engagement efforts. We are dedicated to delivering powerful customer experiences across all touchpoints by applying strategic thinking, data-driven insights, and cutting-edge tools to bring marketing initiatives to life. Our team leads direct channel strategy and consumer data segmentation for one-to-one marketing campaigns, managing the end-to-end execution of direct channel programs.
We accomplish these ambitious goals through collaboration with internal partners across arenaflex, as well as external vendors and technology providers. Our work spans multiple channels including email, mobile, and other direct communication platforms, ensuring that every interaction with our guests is personalized, relevant, and memorable.
The Role: Customer Engagement Manager II
As a Customer Engagement Manager II on the DCS&A team, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day management and execution of direct channel campaigns. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the tools and data our team uses for campaign activation, providing mentorship and support to other team members. Your leadership will extend to partner meetings related to campaign activations for your designated lines of business.
This position reports to the DCS&A Partner Director and works in-office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility of remote work on Fridays. While this role does not have direct reports, you will be expected to mentor and support more junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
What You'll Do
- Lead the everyday management and execution of direct channel campaigns, ensuring seamless delivery across all channels
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the tools and data platforms utilized by DCS&A for campaign activation
- Build and configure highly complex marketing workflows using multiple direct channels
- Collaborate with internal and external partners directly related to campaign activations
- Perform quality assurance on campaigns as needed, ensuring flawless execution
- Monitor all campaigns to ensure they run as expected and promptly inform partners of any issues
- Investigate and resolve issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption
- Provide tutoring and support to team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge
- Develop comprehensive documentation of team tools and processes to support onboarding and training
- Implement channel strategies that drive campaign and channel best practices and optimizations
- Participate in and lead special projects beyond standard campaign activation work
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a professional with a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. Here's what we're seeking:
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of direct experience in SQL analyzing large datasets, performing selects, joins, investigating data issues, and validating audience segmentation
- 5+ years of direct experience in campaign list selection processes and campaign deployment capabilities
- Proven knowledge and understanding of complex data environments, relational database methodologies, structures, and querying
- Experience translating technical details and data insights into compelling stories and campaign visions for non-technical marketing partners, driving alignment through clear communication
- Experience working across organizational teams with demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills including influence, negotiation, and problem-solving
- Experience working in large organizations and navigating ambiguity while maintaining clear decision-making
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to colleagues in a non-technical manner
- Ability to work independently, identify and discover efficiencies that can be applied across the team
- Leadership capability to mentor and support more junior team members
- Strategic mindset that allows you to apply relevant direct channel strategies to all your work
- Strong attention to detail with a solid Customer Acceptance Testing and quality assurance mindset
- Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Adobe Campaign Classic and Adobe Campaign Standard
- Experience building complex marketing streams using multiple direct channels
- Direct experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for campaign deployment of emails
- Background in the entertainment, hospitality, or travel industry
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices
