Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with Beneficiaries and Providers: Respond to customer inquiries via the helpline, providing timely and accurate information.
- Creating, Formatting, and Proofreading Letters: Develop and review correspondence to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Managing Timeliness and Productivity: Prioritize tasks and maintain high productivity levels to meet performance expectations.
- Decision Making and Problem-Solving: Make informed decisions regarding complex appeals and provide solutions to customer issues.
- Building Relationships: Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Utilizing Internal Quality Control Tools: Assess individual work and team processes to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Post-High School Business Courses: Helpful.
- Medical Terminology: Desired.
- Excellent Verbal Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with customers.
- Customer-Focused and Results-Oriented: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- General Knowledge of PC-Based Computer Systems: Desirable.
- Multi-Tasking and Prioritization: Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to Three Years of Clerical Experience: Including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
- Prior Work in a Healthcare Setting: Recommended.
- Previous Data Entry or Other Clerical Experience: A plus.
