Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented Data Analyst & Machine Learning Specialist to join our dynamic Technology team in a fully remote capacity. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who are passionate about data, customer experience, and continuous learning. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of data analysis frameworks and machine learning models that power our attractions and visitor experiences. You will collaborate closely with internal partners across various departments to deliver intelligent, data-driven systems that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst & Machine Learning Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving innovative solutions that directly impact our visitor experiences. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Data Analysis & Insights: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to extract meaningful insights that inform business decisions and improve operational processes.
- Machine Learning Model Development: Assist in the creation, training, and deployment of machine learning models for various applications including predictive analytics, customer behavior analysis, and operational optimization.
- Collaboration with Research Teams: Engage with cross-functional teams and research personnel to identify business challenges that can be addressed through innovative ML solutions and data-driven approaches.
- ML Solution Implementation: Work alongside data scientists and engineers to execute and scale machine learning solutions that create exceptional experiences for our visitors while meeting operational goals.
- Innovation & Prototyping: Drive research and development initiatives, proof-of-concept projects, and technology innovation efforts that lead to the development of cutting-edge AI platforms.
- Operational Support: Provide functional support and maintenance for ML-related products and services delivered by the team, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
- Process Optimization: Build standard methodologies for daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI and machine learning space.
- Model Productionization: Productionize ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, and evaluate their performance on real-world datasets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and ensure seamless integration with existing platforms.
- Code Quality & Testing: Coordinate with existing software development practices to produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and comprehensive code reviews.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated expertise in Python programming with experience in predictive modeling using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, or similar technologies.
- Cloud Platform Experience: 2+ years of professional experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Software Development Skills: Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Design Patterns.
- Data Management Expertise: Advanced experience working with both structured and unstructured data (including images, video, text, audio) and proficiency in SQL as well as relational and non-relational databases.
- Data Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or other data workflow management tools.
- Version Control & DevOps: Experience with version control software such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.
- Business Acumen: Experience leading discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and define expected outcomes, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Systems Integration: Strong systems integration and architecture skills, with the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical business solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences would be highly valued in candidates:
- Experience with Docker containerization technology
- Experience with configuration management systems
- Experience with Kubernetes orchestration
- Experience with cloud solutions beyond GCP or AWS
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development practices
- Experience with data visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)
- Experience with audio analysis and processing
- Experience with text analysis and natural language processing
Education Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
