Position Overview
As a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of all critical plant equipment and raised floor systems at our enterprise data centers. This role encompasses supporting the layout of the raised floor, power and network connectivity management, and comprehensive inventory management. You will play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our data center operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Escalation Point for Incident Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for incident management related to power and cooling systems. You will coordinate responses to critical issues, ensure timely resolution, and minimize downtime across our infrastructure.
- Operational Procedures Development: Develop and maintain operational procedures for staff and vendor maintenance activities. Document best practices, create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure consistent execution across all shifts.
- Vendor Maintenance Oversight: Schedule, track, and provide oversight to vendor maintenance activities. Coordinate with external contractors, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
- Data Center Best Practices and Standards: Establish and enforce data center best practices and standards. Ensure all operations adhere to industry-leading practices for reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide coaching and instruction to team members. Support the professional development of junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
- Coverage and Availability: Cover open shifts when staff schedules cannot be refilled, ensuring operational continuity. This may include working flexible hours as needed to support team requirements.
- Reliability Analysis: Identify data center reliability trends and risks. Analyze operational data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
- Issue Management Support: Support issue management to assist with resolving equipment, operational, and application issues related to power and cooling equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.
- Capacity Management: Assist with data center capacity management. Monitor utilization, forecast future needs, and contribute to planning efforts for infrastructure expansion.
- Project Contribution: Contribute to development activities ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met. Participate in infrastructure upgrades, new facility deployments, and technology implementations.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of comprehensive work experience in environments containing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and UPS systems. You must have hands-on experience with critical infrastructure systems.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of advanced engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, and troubleshooting as required by the space. You should be comfortable working with complex technical systems.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain technical knowledge within your area of expertise. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Continuous Learning: Remain current with new and evolving technologies through appropriate training and independent education. We expect our team members to be lifelong learners.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) and monitoring platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure

Compensation and Benefits
