This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
- Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
- If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.
- Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.

- $25.00 /hour
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
- Accurately input, update, and verify data in databases and information systems
- Review data for errors or inconsistencies and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain data integrity by following company policies and data entry procedures
- Perform regular data audits and generate reports as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and correct information flow
- Respond to data requests and provide support in pulling or organizing reports
- Meet daily/weekly productivity and accuracy goals
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data responsibly
- Assist in process documentation and suggest improvements for data entry workflows
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry or a similar administrative role
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and database systems
- Strong keyboarding skills (minimum 50 WPM with high accuracy) Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
Expected salary: $25 per hour
