Work environment, working conditions, physical requirements:
Moderate physical requirement. Field work requires some physical exertion such as walking over rough terrain, snow covered or rocky surfaces, and lifting of heavy items. Field work also requires the ability to hike long distances in isolated and rough country. Habitat development work requires long days outside in adverse weather conditions. Working some nights, weekends and holidays as necessary or in emergency situations. Occasional risks that are found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental situations (e.g., depredation, wildlife management projects, check stations, working with heavy farm equipment or driving airboats). Overnight travel within Utah is sometimes required to attend meetings, conferences, support wildlife management projects, etc.
