Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Tetra Tech is a leader in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure, providing high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide. The Electrical and Instrumentation Designer role involves providing design support for E&I disciplines, contributing to construction drawings, and learning industry standards under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers to produce EI&C construction deliverables
• Understand schedules and progress tracking
• Multitasking, working on more than one project at the same time
• Self checking of work products
• Build and maintain professional relationships with design teams and other disciplines
• Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills
• Travel to Client offices and production facilities accompanied by more senior engineers or designers

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent. (Post‑secondary training a plus)
• 1-3 years' design experience
• Proficiency with CAD software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to accept direction, feedback, and mentorship
• AutoCAD 2022 or newer experience
• Exposure to AutoCAD 3D
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
• Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks Freedom
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
