Tutor Position Details
As a part-time Tutor with Lindamood-Bell, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing one-to-one and small group instruction to students. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group instruction, in-person or online, implementing specific lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership
- Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students
- Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment
- Manage client records electronically using a computer
- Implement positive-reinforcement strategies that maximize learning, in a cheerful and authentic manner
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful as a Tutor with Lindamood-Bell, you will need:
- A passion for helping others reach their potential
- Excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to type notes about student performance while leading engaging sessions
- A Bachelor's degree (preferred) or an Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree (acceptable)
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience working with students with learning challenges
- Knowledge of educational software and technology
