Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to support our internal and external college and career programs, serving METCO students and managing alumni relationships through programming, community events, and volunteer opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to forge partnerships, lead workshops, and facilitate meetings. As a College and Career Coordinator, you will play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their post-secondary goals and fostering a strong alumni network.

College and Career Readiness Initiatives

As a College and Career Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, overseeing, implementing, and facilitating programs related to college and career readiness, including workshops, panels, field trips, and events. You will also support METCO-district high schools by providing onsite college workshops, sharing resources, and collaborating on jobs programs.

Career Development and Alumni Engagement

In addition to college readiness initiatives, you will also be responsible for developing relationships and maintaining communication with district-level METCO staff working directly with high school students. You will oversee the Preparing Leaders and Achievers Network (PLAN) internship and provide students in grades 9-16 with individual casework to support their post-high school plans.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a bachelor's degree and have at least 1+ years of experience in non-profit programming, preferably working with youth. You should have a keen ability to identify and support students' extracurricular needs, a collaborative work style, and experience with Google Suite, online research, databases, and Salesforce.
