**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting our health plan members, providers, and their representatives by managing inbound inquiries and conducting outbound calls when necessary. You will be responsible for addressing questions related to health plan benefits, claims, eligibility, billing, and more. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Answer and manage inbound inquiries about health plan benefits, claims, eligibility, and related topics
* Conduct outbound or return calls as needed to resolve member issues or provide additional information
* Document relevant information clearly and concisely in computer systems to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping
* Communicate complex healthcare-related information in simple, understandable terms to ensure member satisfaction and understanding
* Handle customer complaints and grievances with empathy and effective conflict management skills to resolve issues promptly and professionally
* Meet performance goals related to efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction, and attendance to ensure exceptional customer service
* Adhere to all applicable department, organization, and regulatory policies and procedures to maintain compliance and ensure a safe working environment
**Requirements**
* High school diploma or GED
* Minimum of 1 year of call center experience
* Ability to handle 50-100 calls daily in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications, including strong keyboard and navigation skills
* Ability to type at least 35 WPM to ensure efficient data entry and record-keeping
* Availability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed to meet business demands
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information (HIPAA compliance) to ensure member trust and security
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2+ years of experience in a health plan, TPA, or related call center
* Knowledge of managed care, Commercial, Marketplace, Medicaid, and/or Medicare programs to provide expert guidance and support
* Bilingual in Spanish & English (validated via bilingual assessment upon offer acceptance) to expand language support and services

* A quiet, private workspace free from noise and distractions to ensure focus and productivity
* Dedicated workspace within your home, outside of common areas to maintain confidentiality and security
* Resolved dependent and/or pet care arrangements during working hours to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
* Workspace must ensure privacy and confidentiality of HIPAA/PHI information to maintain member trust and security
* Working from public places or outside the country is not permitted to ensure compliance and security
**Technology Requirements**
* Smartphone for accessing Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication & Microsoft Teams to ensure secure and efficient communication
* High-speed internet service (100 MBPS fiber optic) with direct router connection via Ethernet cord to ensure reliable and secure connectivity
* Incompatible internet services: 4G, 5G, LTE, or Satellite to ensure compliance and security
