**About the Role**
As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits, and communicating with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
* Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders
* Verify and revivify benefits for patients
* Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications
* Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
* Collect copay amounts and obtain authorizations from insurance companies
* Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
* Demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers in a fast-paced environment
**Requirements**
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
* One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
* Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Pre-employment experience in the healthcare industry, including familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
**Work Schedule and Location**
* Work from home in Florida, within 75 miles of the Specialty location at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819
* Available work schedules: 11:30am - 8pm EST and 12:30pm - 9pm EST
**Compensation and Benefits**
* Competitive hourly rate: $17.00 - $25.65
