As a pharmacy technician, you'll play a critical role in assisting our pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the performance of other pharmacy branch duties according to employer policies and procedures. You'll be responsible for using pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the performance of other pharmacy branch duties according to employer policies and procedures. * Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and maintain accurate records. * Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues. * Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, including those with complex needs and concerns. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy department and surrounding areas. * Perform duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager, personnel pharmacist, and store supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy. * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, including processing prescriptions and managing inventory. * Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the good faith dispensing program. * Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise. * Handle telephone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager. * Assist and support the pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. * Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required. * Assist the pharmacy supervisor and personnel pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities. **Education & Personal Development** * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the arenaflex pharmacy technician training program and/or state required certification/registration. * Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by the manager and acquire continuing education credits. * Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest information and developments. * Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. **Preferred Qualifications** * Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment. * Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex. * Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. * Choose to have good computer skills. * Choose to have knowledge of store inventory management. * Prefer PTCB certification. **Work Environment & Company Culture** * arenaflex is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. * We're committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. * Our company culture values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being. * We offer a range of benefits and perks to support our employees' physical and mental health, including comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage options, prescription savings, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs. **Compensation & Benefits** * arenaflex offers competitive salaries and compensation programs based on the role, experience, and location. * We provide a range of benefits to support our employees' physical and mental health, including comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage options, prescription savings, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs. * Eligible employees may have the option to purchase arenaflex stock with a discount. **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
