**About the Data Platform Team**
The Data Platform team at arenaflex is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a range of data services and tools that enable our organization to ingest, process, and analyze large-scale data. Our team works closely with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality data solutions that support arenaflex's business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in our Data Platform team, you will be responsible for:
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data systems
* Developing and implementing data pipelines and tools to support arenaflex's data-driven initiatives
* Working with data engineers and scientists to build data reflections that fuel the needs of various groups, systems, and products
* Streamlining data delivery and building frameworks for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data for a wide range of use cases using SQL/Flask
* Building stream processing pipelines and tools to support a wide range of analysis and review use cases
* Continuously assessing new and relevant technologies and driving the adoption of new best practices
* Influencing and driving engineering and design conversations in the Data Platform team
* Working in a cross-functional team and collaborating with peers throughout the software development life cycle with a strong focus on continuous delivery
* Serving as a technical mentor and guide for junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
* Ability to support hyper-scale data frameworks across multiple geographies and regions
**Essential Qualifications and Experience**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
* 4-6 years of experience in software development, ideally in data-related groups
* In-depth understanding and experience working with high-scale data lakehouse frameworks
* Active experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Flink, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Wind Current, Kafka, and Kafka connectors
* Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python
* Strong understanding of database and data storage fundamentals
* Strong understanding of data storage designs like Parquet, Hudi, Delta, etc.
* Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**
* Experience with data lakehouse solutions like Data Bricks
* Experience with continuous streaming data pipelines using Flink Streaming or Flink
* B.Tech/B.E/Experts/PhD in Software Engineering from a reputable school or related technical discipline
