About the Role: Agency Sales Manager
We're seeking an experienced Agency Sales Manager to lead our travel management company (TMC) business relationships and drive revenue growth. As an informed authority, you'll practice sound judgment to make decisions that drive consistent income, leveraging aspects of our organization and corporate client associations. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an informed authority for TMC business, developing strategic relationships with key accounts to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with TMC accounts, focusing on business travel opportunities and revenue growth.
- Practice extensive judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements to achieve maximum market share and yield.
- Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop contract-official arrangements.
- Analyze revenue, discounts, and agreement performance to ensure objective compliance and profitability.
- Develop marketing-related initiatives to drive sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business loyalty teams.
- Manage TMC organization accounts through sales calls, negotiating arrangements, and coordination with pricing.
- Plan business growth and lead development of other organization accounts, working with the revenue management team to ensure exceptional results.
- Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop strategies to ensure the organization is positioned suitably in the market.
- Successfully manage and negotiate time and assets, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Airlines.
- Prepare and execute local sales plans, aligning with corporate sales targets and ensuring Alaska Airlines is strategically positioned among competitors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Four-year degree, or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail administration environment or related area.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous airline experience.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with travel industry data reporting sources like Sabre and Crystal.
- Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the organization.
- Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with various teams and workgroups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to clashes caused by competing needs.
