About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and friendly college student to join our team as a HR/Sales Intern. As a remote intern, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA, making it an ideal opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience while balancing their academic commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Approach small business owners in person, introducing 21 Benefits as a cost-effective alternative to traditional employee benefits packages
- Schedule MS Teams meetings with our team members to fully explain the benefits of our program and assist in finalizing the best-suited plan for each business
- Collaborate with our team to review and place necessary insurance, developing clear and effective communication materials
- Assist small business owners in selecting one of our three available plans and setting up monthly subscription payments via our online enrollment portal
- Provide support for routine follow-up and contribute to the growth of our business
- Develop your skills in a low-pressure environment, making your own hours and working independently as well as part of a team
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A positive attitude and friendly disposition
- Comfortability striking up conversations with new and interesting business owners (this is a skill that can be developed)
- An ability to consider the client's perspective, adopting a consultative approach rather than being pushy
- Good writing, spelling, and grammatical skills in emails and other written communication
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, having a background in sales or HR can be beneficial. However, we're more interested in your potential, eagerness to learn, and ability to adapt to our unique business model.

Compensation and Benefits
We're offering a competitive commission structure, with the opportunity to earn $500 to $1,500 for every small business that subscribes to our service. You'll also have access to our employee discount, professional development assistance, and referral program.
For those in need of health insurance, we'll waive our monthly subscription fees and provide access to our support team's assistance in applying for health insurance with a possible ACA Premium Subsidy.
