About the Role: Massage Therapist (Flexologist)
We're on the hunt for a skilled and enthusiastic Massage Therapist to join our team as a Flexologist in Norfolk, VA. As a Flexologist, you'll be at the forefront of delivering our proprietary assisted stretching sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, one-on-one assisted stretch sessions and lead guided group stretching classes for up to 6 clients, ensuring a personalized and impactful experience for each participant.
- Motivate and encourage clients throughout their stretching journey, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their flexibility and wellness goals.
- Build and maintain a strong client base through effective sales strategies, outreach to leads, and exceptional customer service, ensuring high membership retention rates.
- Manage client care by maintaining detailed notes, scheduling weekly appointments, and ensuring that every client interaction is positive and productive.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism, adhering to StretchLab's policies and safety protocols, and staying updated on the latest stretching techniques and best practices.
- Participate in staff meetings, educational presentations, and training sessions to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with Sales Associates and the General Manager to promote studio tours and sales, contributing to the overall growth and success of the studio.
- Maintain a strong social media presence, engaging with clients and promoting membership and retention through various digital channels.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment, guaranteeing that it's always available and ready for client use.
Essential Qualifications:
- A background as a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Physical Therapist, or Pilates/Yoga Instructor, with a passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility.
- A relevant fitness certification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
- Previous experience in a fitness or health environment, preferably in a role that involves hands-on training or client interaction.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- A professional work ethic, reliability, and adherence to our attendance policies, ensuring that you're a dependable and valued member of our team.
- Availability to complete our comprehensive 3-day Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 3 days of in-person training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a boutique fitness environment, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with this type of setting.
- A strong passion for helping others achieve their goals, with a natural ability to motivate and inspire clients.
