The Role: M&E Team Leader
As an M&E Team Leader at Amex GBT, you'll be at the forefront of managing and developing a high-performing team dedicated to sourcing, planning, attendee management, registration, and finance. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in our NYC office and 2 days working remotely, offering the flexibility to balance your work and personal life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure they deliver their best work.
- Foster a positive and open work environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to analyze financial and operational metrics, forecast future trends, and implement measures to ensure operational profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their career goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our event management processes and services.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed as an M&E Team Leader at Amex GBT, you'll need a unique blend of leadership, event management, and operational expertise. Here are the essential qualifications and skills we're looking for:
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in event management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong skills in team leadership, coaching, and development.
- Experience with event planning, sourcing, and execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate your vision and inspire your team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- A passion for travel and event management, with a willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in the meetings and events industry.
- Knowledge of business financials, contracts, and service levels.
- Expertise in developing strategic partnerships with suppliers and clients.

Compensation and Benefits
We're offering a competitive salary package, with a national annual base salary range of $50,000 to $100,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you'll be eligible for an annual Performance-Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance.
