With a strong reputation and a growing presence, we're seeking talented individuals who share our values and are passionate about delivering exceptional care. **Job Summary** As a Medical Office Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our Intake team, responsible for reviewing and processing incoming faxes and communication from doctor's offices, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. You'll be the first point of contact for many patients, and your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will ensure that their information is accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner. **Key Responsibilities** * Receive and review incoming faxes and communication from doctor's offices, hospitals, and other healthcare providers * Determine the correct routing for faxes and communication, and input new patient referrals into our computer system * Create accurate and complete electronic medical records for new patients * Assist the receptionist with answering phones and supporting the Intake team * Work collaboratively with the Intake team to ensure seamless communication and data entry * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements **Essential Qualifications** * Previous work experience in a busy office environment, preferably in a healthcare setting * Strong communication and computer skills, with the ability to type at least 40 WPM * Excellent attention to detail, phone etiquette, and ability to work well independently and in a team environment * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and data entry software * Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements * Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) * Experience working in a home health or hospice setting **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers * Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion * Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors * Ability to work collaboratively with the Intake team and other departments to achieve shared goals and objectives * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
