**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor to join our team. As a key member of our data entry team, you'll be responsible for accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers. You'll work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times, and you'll be expected to perform quality reviews of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Accurately enter data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers
* Enter data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
* Navigate efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
* Differentiate between different claim types and follow the appropriate data entry guidelines
* Accurately identify specific document types that require special handling
* Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
* Support additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
* Perform quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
* Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
* Alert management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
* Provide recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 6 months or more years of experience in data entry or typing-focused role
* Strong data entry/typing skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* High degree of accuracy
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with imaging software and data entry systems
* Knowledge of healthcare industry and insurance claims processes
* Certification in data entry or medical terminology
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
