**Responsibilities**
As a Patient Customer Advisor, you will be responsible for:
* Communicating with patients and their families by phone or via digital media to obtain information needed to resolve inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
* Reviewing patient account information in multiple systems and performing research as necessary to ensure accurate and timely resolution of patient inquiries.
* Documenting patient inquiries and actions taken into the appropriate systems to maintain accurate records and ensure seamless communication.
* Updating or adding insurance information and/or patient demographic information and requesting rebills as necessary to ensure accurate billing and payment.
* Working with patients and their guarantors to secure payment on outstanding account balances and provide financial assistance when needed.
* Escalating patient complaints to the appropriate individual/department based on the nature of the issue to ensure prompt resolution and minimize patient dissatisfaction.
* Creating a positive patient experience through actively listening, understanding, and empathizing with patients and their families.
* Following all arenaflex Customer Service Organization (CSO) guidelines and policies to ensure compliance and maintain high standards of customer service.
* Meeting and maintaining established departmental performance metrics for production and quality to ensure efficient and effective operations.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of one year of customer service experience in a customer service, healthcare office, hospitality, retail sales, or client manager role.
* Previous call center experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, is highly desirable.
* Virtual employees are required to have high-speed internet with 25 MB download and 15 MB upload speed to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
