What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive their specialty medications efficiently, accurately, and with the highest level of customer care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Telephone Patient Support: Provide compassionate, responsive telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and guiding them through their medication journey.
- New Patient Order Coordination: Handle the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and refill requests. This includes verifying insurance benefits, reviving and updating patient information, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Prescription Entry and Translation: Assist patients with translating and accurately entering new prescriptions or refill requests into our pharmacy information system. You'll ensure dosing instructions are clear and that any special handling requirements are properly documented.
- Copay Collection: Communicate copay amounts to patients and process payments professionally. You'll help patients understand their financial responsibilities and explore options for assistance programs when needed.
- Prior Authorization Processing: Obtain prior authorizations from healthcare providers and insurance companies. You'll work closely with prescribing physicians, insurance representatives, and internal clinical teams to secure the necessary approvals for specialty medications.
- Insurance Coordination: Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and appropriately defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.
