About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, interacting with customers, and developing strong patient relationships. You will also be responsible for using pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state, federal, and company policies and procedures
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other duties as assigned
- Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing a unique and delightful customer experience
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them, providing assistance with services and products, and resolving customer issues and inquiries
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and maintaining the pharmacy department
- Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement
- Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Policy regarding faithful dispensing across all applicable prescription dispensing activities
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). You must also have a strong foundation in math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with arenaflex
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
