You'll be responsible for explaining and clarifying plans' policies and procedures, actively attempting to resolve member or provider concerns, and maintaining current knowledge of Member Services policies and procedures. **Responsibilities** * Manage a steady volume of incoming calls regarding benefits from members, providers, and employer groups * Explain and clarify plans' policies and procedures * Actively attempt to resolve member or provider concerns, which may include contacting other appropriate parties to facilitate the resolution of such concerns and adequately documenting the information on the billing system * Investigate verbal complaints concerning billing, claims, or service rendered * Escalate complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation * Maintain current knowledge of Member Services policies and procedures * Perform other work-related duties as assigned **Requirements** We're looking for individuals with a passion for helping others, natural empathy, and the determination to deliver a comprehensive solution to these healthcare-related calls. Customer service experience is a plus, but not required. To be successful in this role, you'll have: * Ability to successfully complete a customer service assessment and typing test * Must be a US Citizen * High school diploma, GED, or college degree * Ability to successfully complete a mandatory paid training program with 100% attendance * Successful completion of a background check is required for this position * At least 1 year of Call Center experience preferred * 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience * Knowledge of and prior experience in the Dental, Medical, or Managed Care industry is preferred * Must possess the following characteristics: self-motivation, resourcefulness, detail-oriented, sense of accountability, and must be a team player * Must possess strong skills in the following areas: organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer * Strong communication skills over the phone * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations **Equipment and Workspace Requirements** * You must have a home internet connection of 10 Download and 3 Upload Speed (you may do a quick check through) * Must be able to hardwire your work computer directly to your home modem via ethernet * Must have a distraction-free and secure work environment **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate of $16.00 * 10 weeks of paid training * Opportunities for growth and advancement within the healthcare team * Health benefits for you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision * Paid time off after 180 days of employment * Computer equipment provided * A dynamic and supportive work environment **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you!
