Job Description
As a Service Desk Technician - T1, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, providing technical support and resolving their IT issues in a timely and professional manner. You'll work closely with our team to deliver exceptional customer service, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound support calls and monitor online ticket queues
- Create service tickets and perform common technical administrative tasks, such as password resets
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic computer, network, and printing problems
- Document and enter time records for all support activities
- Perform new computer builds and setups, as well as basic software installations
- Continuously learn and grow your skills by assisting senior technicians, studying, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (additional education in a technology field is a plus)
- Prior customer service experience and a strong understanding of IT products
- Proficiency in general office applications, such as ConnectWise (experience with ConnectWise is preferred)
- The ability to multitask, adapt to changes quickly, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lab or real-world experience in IT support or a related field
- A strong foundation in hardware, software, network, and security fundamentals
- A willingness to learn and master new technologies within 3 years
