OVERVIEW DXA Group is a U.S.-based accounting and finance firm providing scalable support to startups and small businesses across industries — from SaaS and healthcare to manufacturing, professional services, and beyond. We are looking for a Fractional CFO to step in as the senior-most finance leader next to our Founder. This is not a side hustle. It’s a long-term opportunity to anchor client delivery, drive growth, and step into senior leadership as our Founder focuses on expansion. What You’ll Do • Lead financial oversight, reporting, and client relationships for an assigned portfolio. • Conduct monthly client reviews and serve as the CFO voice for founders and management teams. • Apply deep expertise in cost accounting, manufacturing, GAAP, FX, and foreign subsidiaries. • Deliver financial packages, analytical insights, and strategic recommendations. • Oversee Controllers, Sr. Accountants, and Jr. CFOs — earning their respect and trust. • Join Founder on sales calls, with the expectation of eventually scoping, closing, and expanding client engagements. What We’re Looking For • Big 4 or equivalent pedigree, with a proven shift into entrepreneurial CFO work. • 10+ years in corporate accounting/finance; CPA preferred. • Technical accounting focus in cost/manufacturing/revenue recognition/FX/foreign subs. • Experience with startups and small businesses. • Track record of leading both clients and teams in a high-accountability environment. • Strong, direct communicator who inspires confidence. • Based in the U.S., reliable internet, available during business hours. • Available 15–20 hrs/week to start, with ability to scale into 30–40 hrs/week. What This Is Not • Not for résumé collectors, freelancers, or “advisors” who parachute in when it suits them. • Not for side-hustlers or flexibility-seekers. DXA is built on structure, trust, and accountability. • Not for those without deep cost/manufacturing/GAAP/foreign entity experience. • Not for followers. We need a builder and leader. Most Complex Overall: • Manufacturing/Defense (cost + regulation + long-term contracts). • SaaS/Tech (rev rec + deferred revenue + equity comp). • Healthcare/Life Sciences (regulation + reimbursement + R&D). • Global multinationals add another layer with FX and consolidation.
