Job description: Winfield School District 34 is looking for dynamic educators who will work closely with students, colleagues, and parents in order to support student learning and growth for at risk students.

Intervention Teacher Job Description

Under the supervision of the Principal and Coordinator of Student Services supports the development and implementation of the instructional program for special education and at-risk students

Provide researched-based instructional practices to support academic & social-emotional needs of students and promote student growth.

Collaborates with other teachers to promote student learning and growth

Completes and communicates special education paperwork for students workload

Qualifications:

Possess Professional Educator License

Special Education Endorsement, preferred

EL Endorsement Preferred

Proven ability to provide specially designed instruction to at risk students across grade levels and content areas

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to meet individual student needs

Demonstrated time management skills; ability to handle multiple demands

Proficiency using a variety of technology and software including word processors, spreadsheets, and databases

Capacity to learn new software and apply skills within the work environment.

Candidates must possess strong collaborative, communication, organizational and computer skills

Ability to work independently, engage with the public, and appropriately communicate information to District administration and staff, as well as to the community
