IT Desktop Support Technician
Location- Remote
Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Respond to IT support tickets, calls, and emails in a timely manner
• Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and access permissions
• Perform routine system maintenance and updates
• Assist with network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
• Support remote users via remote desktop tools
• Ensure security protocols (antivirus, updates, backups) are followed
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
• Familiarity with networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote support tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
• Prior experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
