In this pivotal role, you will become an integral part of the Content Valuation and Analysis group within arenaflex Television. This team is responsible for preparing data-driven analysis that supports establishing fair and accurate valuations for our extensive television content library. Your work will directly impact strategic decision-making across our domestic and international markets, supporting all arenaflex-controlled direct-to-consumer services and streaming platforms.
Our Content Valuation team collaborates closely with key partners from various business units, including Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Partnerships, Controllership, and Global Content Sales. This cross-functional environment offers unparalleled exposure to the entire content lifecycle, from acquisition through distribution and monetization.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Content Valuation to support our growing content library valuation initiatives. This is a hybrid remote position located in Burbank, California, offering the perfect blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and entertainment, comfortable working with large datasets, and possess a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
As a Senior Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in preparing valuations and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will be responsible for establishing sustainable content valuation methodologies, preparing quarterly forecasts, and providing senior leadership with meaningful analysis that shapes our content strategy across multiple streaming platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Valuation Leadership: Establish sustainable distance-based content evaluating methodologies and prepare quarterly close and financial planning forecasts for scripted and unscripted content licensed by arenaflex+ and other arenaflex streaming services internationally.
- Regional Analysis: Compile quarterly regional content valuation entries and identify key variation drivers, distilling complex results into meaningful insights for senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Financial Planning Support: Assist with preparing long-range and annual budget planning forecasts as needed, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives and strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for key partners at DTC Finance, Studio Finance, Business Affairs, and Controllership, building strong working relationships across the organization.
- Process Improvement: Partner with finance teams to identify and implement process efficiencies and improve the quality of attributions, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Data Synthesis: Curate and organize vast amounts of data to reach well-reasoned conclusions and make recommendations that result in actionable, meaningful insights for the business.
- Performance Tracking: Regularly track and maintain content performance metrics, including Nielsen ratings, critical review scores, and industry awards, for network and cable primetime programming.
- Project Participation: Participate in various ad-hoc projects that will expose you to new concepts and deepen your understanding of key principles across the spectrum of content distribution and licensing.
- Cross-Functional Support: Contribute to special initiatives and support team objectives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving industry.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CFA, CPA, MBA) are a plus.
- Self-Motivation: Self-starter who is clever, flexible, proactive, and willing to contribute wherever needed in a collaborative team environment.
- Independent Work Style: Experience working under minimal supervision with the ability to scope, identify, and execute value-added processes and process improvements.

- Analytical Expertise: Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools, with demonstrated ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Numerical Aptitude: Genuine enjoyment working with numbers, performing analysis, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation of all work performed.
- Communication Skills: Willingness to defend and justify decisions made and processes implemented, while remaining flexible to changing direction as circumstances require.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong financial modeling abilities required.
- Excel Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency with pivot tables and advanced Excel formulas including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, VSTACK, nested IF statements, INDEX/MATCH, and other complex functions.
- Industry Interest: Passion for the media industry and television programming; content licensing experience is a significant plus.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in media, entertainment, or streaming industry analytics roles
- Background in content valuation, financial planning, or business analysis within the television or streaming sector
- Familiarity with streaming platform metrics and subscriber-based business models
- Knowledge of international content licensing and distribution frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of Nielsen ratings systems and media planning metrics
- Background in working with cross-functional teams across finance, legal, and business affairs
