Junior Accountant

Outova is a premier distributor of outdoor living products, seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily financial operations. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, Sales Tax Filings, Journal Entries, and Expense Reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of journal entries
• Process employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
• Help support payroll processing by gathering and verifying employee data
• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures
• Maintain documentation and filing systems for financial records
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments and invoicing
• Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
• Preferred experience with SAGE 100
