Stay’d is a rapidly growing vacation rental collective built to redefine hospitality at scale. We bring together high-performing local brands under one umbrella, combining best-in-class operations, design, and revenue management to create standout guest experiences and stronger returns for homeowners.
With thousands of properties spanning multiple markets, Stay’d is building a scalable platform designed to unify brands, systems, and performance while maintaining a high-touch, locally driven experience.
We’re not a marketplace—we’re operators. And we’re building something meant to last.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Licensing & Compliance Specialist to own the short-term rental permitting and onboarding process across our growing portfolio.
This is not a data entry role — it’s an ownership role. You will be the person who makes sure every property we bring on is legally compliant, properly licensed, and ready to generate revenue without interruption.
You will be responsible for managing the full licensing lifecycle across multiple markets, including:
STR permit acquisition and renewal
Municipal compliance tracking
New property onboarding coordination
We operate with urgency and precision. Our culture is built around three core values:
Solutions Oriented – you solve problems, not point them out
Move Fast – you operate with urgency and bias toward action
No Ego – you collaborate, take feedback, and prioritize the team over individual credit
Research and manage short-term rental licensing requirements across all active and target markets
Submit permit applications, renewals, and any required documentation on behalf of property owners
Track permit statuses, expiration dates, and renewal deadlines to ensure zero lapses in compliance
Communicate with local municipalities, licensing offices, and HOAs as needed
Coordinate the compliance side of new property onboarding from signed agreement to live listing
Ensure all required licenses, registrations, and tax IDs are obtained before a property goes live
Work cross-functionally with operations and revenue teams to keep onboarding timelines on track
Maintain accurate onboarding records and status updates across all active properties
Build and maintain a compliance tracker covering all properties and markets
Monitor regulatory changes in key markets and flag any risks or required action
Ensure all properties remain in good standing with local STR regulations on an ongoing basis
Create SOPs and documentation for compliance processes as we scale into new markets
Provide regular status updates on licensing pipeline and onboarding progress
Flag issues proactively — expired permits, denied applications, regulatory changes
Maintain organized records and documentation for all active and pending licenses
Experience in STR licensing, property management, real estate administration, or a related field
Strong attention to detail — you catch what others miss and nothing falls through the cracks
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple properties and markets simultaneously
Comfortable researching municipal regulations independently and navigating government portals
Proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders informed without being asked
Tech-savvy — comfortable working in Google Sheets, project management tools, and CRMs
Someone who embodies our core values: Solutions Oriented, Move Fast, No Ego
Experience with short-term rental platforms (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) is a strong plus
Location: Fully Remote - Honduras
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Compensation: $1,200/month
Be part of a high-growth hospitality company operating across multiple markets
Direct impact on how fast we can scale and bring properties online
High-ownership role with room to grow as the company expands
Work alongside a team that moves fast and values results over process
If you’re organized, proactive, and know your way around an STR permit application, we want to hear from you.
Please include:
Any experience with STR licensing, permitting, or property compliance
Tools or systems you’ve used to track and manage operational workflows
Examples of how you’ve handled a complex or multi-step administrative process
