The College of Arts & Media, Department of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies has an opening for a full-time Clinical Teaching Track in Singer/Songwriter (an unclassified) position. Teaching assignments will have a start date of August 2023, will require an 80% teaching load. The incumbent will be accountable for teaching courses related to songwriting, performance, advanced songwriting and production, applied lessons, ensembles, well as any additional music courses as required by the MEIS Department and will need to possess the ability to teach undergraduate courses, and engage in research, creative work, and service. The continuance of this appointment will be based on merit/performance, budget, and enrollment numbers.

1. Master's degree in Music or related advanced degree or substitution of tested experience for the Master's: 2. Industry credits with demonstrated national presence, excellence, and accomplishment as a Songwriter, plus Performer (Singer/Instrumentalist) and/or Producer

3. Experience that shows diversity, equity, and inclusivity practices, and inclusive pedagogy in teaching and/or creative work

Anticipated Pay Range:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $60,000 to $65,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
