The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for Paraprofessional positions as Special Education Personal Care Assistants for the 2023-2024 School Year.
This is an ongoing need. Applications are screened upon receipt and hiring occurs on a rolling basis.

These are full-time, on-site, permanent positions working directly with students with special needs throughout the educational setting.
Positions are available in elementary, middle, and high school assignments, and in Learning Support, Life Skills Support, Autistic Support (ABA), and Emotional Support classrooms.

Personal Care Assistants assist in the academic, social/emotional, and behavioral development of students in accordance with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) by: See attached job description for more details.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7 Hours/Day
Between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:45 PM depending upon location
190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off)

Rates:
Starting wages are either $15.41 (approx. $20,495 annual) or $15.46 (approx. $20,561 annual) per hour, for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience.

In order to be eligible for these paraprofessional positions, the applicant must meet at least the following criteria:

Be a high school graduate or posses a GED, AND
1) Have completed at least two (2) years of postsecondary study, OR
2) Possess an associates degree or higher, OR
3) Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years.

FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)
Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting (Act 126)
Arrest or Conviction Form PDE 6004 (Act 24)
School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
