Job Summary
The manager of strategic partnerships assists with developing new industry partners and maintaining current partners with a focus on building and maintaining long-term, multi-faceted relationships that contribute to Lindenwood University’s growth strategy. This position is responsible for marketing and procuring strategic partnerships in collaboration with the director of strategic partnerships and the University leadership team. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison for a variety of University partners.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
Fills the new student recruitment funnel through active generation of highly qualified leads with a focus on supporting division enrollment objectives
Contributes annually to the signing of new gold, cohort, and unique partnerships to achieve targeted levels of partnership growth
Organizes activities and tracks outcomes to measure results of engagement events
Collaborates with University leadership to screen enrollment potential through the exploration of partnership opportunities
Collaborates with University leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders, on the procurement of partnership agreements that support University enrollment growth
Assesses the needs of strategic partners and provides creative solutions that develop win-win solutions supporting the University’s strategic plan and the division’s goals
Establishes, promotes, and attends in-person and virtual events to promote Lindenwood University programs
Stays current on various industry trends and processes involving partners; maintains awareness of University academic programs and degrees
Collaborates with all strategic partners on a frequent basis to established mutual engagement activities that promote student enrollment growth and add value to the partnership relationship
Ensures that each partner’s utilization of resources is efficient; fosters proactive engagement with new and existing partners through continuous curiosity of process, feedback, and openness to new ideas
Establishes and maintains relationships with partners to create a competitive advantage for promotion and utilization of education benefits through degree-seeking product deliveries
Collaborates with departments across campus on process and workflow, ensuring a high-quality experience for all partners, students, and stakeholders
Submits all purchase requisitions and expense reports through proper channels
Service Excellence
Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
Supports the division attributes and team culture of Enrollment and Marketing
Designs and creates flyers and other marketing materials via Canva or other platforms as needed to promote partnerships, events, and other business-to-business engagement
Leverages Microsoft Teams and other video conferencing technology to support the engagement of students, partners, and colleagues
Complies with all federal, state, local, and institutional policies and procedures
Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration
Collaborates with director of strategic partnerships on goals and strategic planning
Promotes Lindenwood University by serving as a partnership liaison for students, staff, faculty, adjuncts, and leadership
Collaborates with appropriate departments regarding partnership management and student services operations to ensure alignment with the University’s core values
Obtains necessary approvals and follows best practices when starting new partnerships
Works with the web strategy and development manager to ensure partner webpages remain accurate and up-to-date
Shares information regularly with partners and students relating to term admissions, enrollment, programs, and other procedures
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, account management, or strategic partnerships
Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – May be representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Student Information System (SIS) platforms, and Canva
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, colleagues, and students
Ability to organize and prioritize work, including the ability to multi-task
Strong professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge of general office technology, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in business development, sales, account management, and/or strategic partnerships
