Position Summary
• The Medical Affairs Quality Education Design Specialist designs and delivers impactful training programs aligned with client Non-Medical Device Quality Management System (QMS) for Medical Affairs.
• This hybrid role supports both in-office and remote work, requires 8:00-5:00 PM 3-4 days per week at a maximum of 24 hours per week, and includes up to 20% travel to support global business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Instructional Design & Development
• Create and implement educational programs for hybrid delivery (virtual and in-person).
• Develop e-learning modules and multimedia content using tools like Articulate Storyline or Captivate.
• Administer and maintain content in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Needs Assessment & Evaluation
• Conduct learning needs analyses and recommend targeted interventions.
• Measure program effectiveness and optimize based on feedback and analytics.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and content.
• Support educators and facilitators with instructional technology and best practices.
• Compliance & Accessibility
• Ensure all materials meet ADA, EEO, and regulatory standards.
• Apply adult learning theory and inclusive teaching practices.
• Performance Metrics
• Design and maintain dashboards to track Medical Affairs performance within QMS.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or related field.
Experience
• Minimum 2 years in instructional design or adult learning required.
• Minimum 2 years in the medical device or regulated industry (preferred).
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s taxonomy (preferred).
• Skilled in e-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, and multimedia production required.
Project Management
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills required.
• Familiarity with project management tools; PMP certification is a plus.
Work Environment
• Hybrid role based in Durham, NC, with remote flexibility.
• Maximum 24 hours/week required.
• Up to 20% travel may be required.
• Occasional nights/weekends to support global business activities required.
