Description: I am an independent artist currently finishing mixing and mastering of an upcoming album. Before release, I want to ensure that the distribution, publishing, metadata, and royalty infrastructure are correctly designed and structured. This is not a playlist promotion or marketing role. I am looking for a consultant with strong knowledge of digital music distribution and rights administration. The goal is to build a clean release pipeline before publication. Scope of work: – Advise on appropriate distributor selection – ISRC and UPC strategy – Metadata structure and best practices – Publishing registration strategy (PRO setup and works registration) – Neighboring rights registration (e.g., GVL, SoundExchange, PPL) – Mechanical royalty considerations – YouTube Content ID setup – International royalty collection structure – Review of ownership and split documentation – Identification of potential rights or revenue risks Requirements: – Demonstrable experience in music publishing and digital distribution – Clear understanding of master vs publishing royalties – Experience working with PROs and neighboring rights organizations – Ability to explain the process clearly and systematically Initial engagement will be a paid consultation (1–3 hours) to map the release architecture. Ongoing support may follow depending on fit. Ownership of masters and publishing will remain with me. Apply tot his job
