In this pivotal role, you will become an integral part of the Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center (IROCC) – the central analytics hub of excellence for our Global Governance division. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping how we approach compliance, enterprise risk management (ERM), and regulatory risk assessment across all our global operations.

What You'll Do
As a Principal Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that protect and advance our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Information Synthesis: Identify and analyze information that supports a wide range of Enterprise Risk Management objectives, compliance requirements, and subject matter areas across our US and global business operations.
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather and process data from disparate information systems spanning our domestic and international businesses. Design intuitive dashboards that help stakeholders scope risk and measure the maturity of associated controls.
- Custom Reporting: Build custom reports as needed to address specific business questions and provide detailed analytical outputs to key stakeholders.
- Methodology Development: Apply your expertise in analytics strategies and tools to develop defensible and consistent methodologies for assessing risk. Draw meaningful insights and correlations from complex datasets.
- Insight Communication: Effectively communicate analytical findings to compliance professionals, attorneys, and business leaders in clear, compelling narratives that drive informed decision-making.
- Emerging Risk Identification: Provide input on new and emerging risk areas using data-driven analysis. Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact the organization.
- Process Improvement: Solicit feedback and assist in the continuous improvement of our ERM and risk assessment processes. Actively contribute to building a world-class analytics function.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a candidate who brings deep technical expertise combined with business acumen and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced SQL Expertise: Deep knowledge of SQL with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large datasets efficiently.
- Visualization Tools Proficiency: Strong skills in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, or similar platforms for creating impactful data visualizations.
- Cloud Platform Experience: Experience working with cloud-based data platforms like BigQuery.
- Programming Skills: Ability to code using R or Python for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
- Data Application Skills: Familiarity with low-code platforms such as PowerApps and Dataiku for building data-driven applications.
- Domain Experience: Prior experience working on legal, compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, or risk assessment matters.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to "tell a story" with data and present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field
- Experience in the retail, logistics, or supply chain industry
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with data governance and data quality management
- Background in fraud detection or investigative analytics
