Logan Simpson is an award-winning, multidisciplinary consulting firm with a team of over 150 professionals. They are seeking a Project Accountant to manage project billing, maintain project plans, and assist with bookkeeping duties, while collaborating closely with project managers.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain projects in database. Maintains project billing schedules, project plans, and budget information
- Prepares complex project billings and supplementary information. Performs accounts receivable collections as requested and manages work in process billings
- Works closely with project managers to review contracts, project costs, budgets, and schedules
- Assists with month-end bookkeeping duties as required. Assists with other clerical tasks as requested. Demonstrates accurate judgment about the applicability of project cost accounting, federal cost accounting standards, and federal/state payroll and payroll tax regulations to numerous accounting situations
Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or closely-related field, or equivalent related experience in lieu of a 4-year degree
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in the office 3 days per week on average
- Experience in consulting industry or AEC industry
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
