We are looking for an experienced supply chain demand planner to join our innovating team. The supply chain planner is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across our wholesale supply chain network with a primary focus on precise and optimized customer service levels, forecasting accuracy, turns and planned financial goals. Watsco is the largest distributor of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment and related parts and supplies in the HVAC/R distribution industry, currently operating 565 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with additional market coverage on an export basis to Latin America and the Caribbean. • **This role is fully remote but requires residency in one of the following states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida. Occasional travel will be required. Roles and Responsibilities · Manage an inventory portfolio of wholesale goods in the HVAC/R industry location distribution and omni-channels · Strategic and proactive management of inventory levels, forecasts, order cadence, seasonality and potential supply chain disruptions · Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time and other demand drivers to assure inventory is aligned with demand · Responsible for achieving targeted levels of customer service through active inventory management and in collaboration with distribution/service locations · Manage and collaborate in an active partnership with the Supplier Community · Manage/maintain successful partnership with Service Locations – enhances Customer Service aspect · Embrace continuous improvement techniques to drive attainment of key purchasing metrics - Service level, forecasting accuracy, excess, slow and discontinued inventory management, supplier delivery precision · Leverage enterprise tools and systems to drive continuous improvement techniques and complete key procurement initiatives, and enhance the performance of the demand planning/inventory strategy functions · Embrace continuous improvement techniques to drive toward attainment of key purchasing metrics Key Factors for Success · Strong decision making and analytical skills · Excellent organizational and prioritization skills • Communication Proficiency – ability to communicate actively and effectively with all levels of the organization • Consistent messenger/practitioner of continuous improvement and change management • Collaboration – ability to work with others/groups that may present an opposing view • Financial Management – solid comprehension of financial drivers (Gross Margin, Turn, COGs, etc.) • Strong Passion for customer service · Ability to handle multiple assignments and excellent follow-through skills.
