ATI Advisory is a healthcare research and advisory services firm changing how businesses, communities, and public programs serve complex populations. They are seeking a high-performing Analyst to join their Technology Enabled Care Transformation Team, where the individual will support senior leaders in advising healthcare providers on adopting and optimizing technology to improve care.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day delivery across multiple provider engagements, managing tasks, timelines, research, deliverables, and internal communications
- Translate complex policy, reimbursement, and business model information into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations for provider clients
- Produce polished, client-ready deliverables (strategic plans, policy briefs, market assessments, IT architectures, build plans, UI/UX, financial models, and compelling PowerPoint presentations) in line with ATI's style guide, turning complex analysis into clear narratives and visuals
- Support presentation development of findings and recommendations to clients; contribute to working sessions and workshops with provider leadership
- With leadership direction, ramp up quickly onto new engagements, bringing structure, pace, and ownership to ambiguous problems from day one
- Build understanding of the transformative potential of AI and the barriers to adoption, integration, sustainability, and application to solve business problems
- Research and analyze legislation, regulations, and payment policy (e.g., Medicare payment rules, PACE, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid LTSS, value-based payment, provider payment reform) and support assessment of business insights, financial impact, and other strategic and operational implications for provider clients
- Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research, including market scans, competitive landscape analyses, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into strategic insights; develop analytic frameworks and shells, identify trends, assess markets and competitors, conduct data analysis, and draw signals from large healthcare datasets where applicable (Medicare claims, Medicaid data, encounter data, CMS public use files, EHR/clinical data)
- Monitor ongoing market, regulatory, and policy developments, summarizing key points to keep client recommendations timely and relevant
- Contribute to proposals and scoping conversations for new provider engagements by drafting sections, reviewing content, and preparing supporting materials
- Support ATI's thought leadership by coordinating and preparing materials for external publications, conferences, and webinars on provider strategy, policy, and market trends
- Identify replicable methodologies and assets from delivery work that can be built into reusable practice IP
Skills
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, government healthcare programs, corporate strategy, or healthcare provider/value-based care organizations, with a track record of increasing responsibility
- Genuine interest in diving into healthcare provider content, with the drive to quickly understand the issues at hand and get to the core of them
- Strong analytical capabilities: the ability to break down issues, work through complex topics, and help simplify and clarify them to their core
- Strong quantitative capabilities: the ability to find trends in data, organize it, and visualize it clearly through Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong PowerPoint skills, including the ability to tell a story and create a logical structure for presenting
- Excellent written communication; the ability to write in a clear and compelling manner
- Strong verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and clients
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage your own work across multiple projects with pace and rigor
- Awareness and general understanding of healthcare policy or healthcare business
- Ability to perform market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning
- Demonstrated ability to own tasks, contribute to projects end-to-end, and manage up effectively
- High level of professional maturity, initiative, resourcefulness, and ownership; ability to come up quickly on unfamiliar topics; and willingness to pitch in and contribute meaningfully from the start
- Bachelor's degree required
- Exposure to or growing expertise in health IT, with familiarity in one or more of the following: value based care, health systems challenges, health IT policy, technology strategy, and full stack advisory services
- Management consulting background at a top-tier firm, or equivalent experience in a fast-paced, project-based environment
- Direct experience working for, with, or alongside healthcare providers (hospitals, physician groups, post-acute and long-term care, PACE, aging-services organizations) on strategic, operational, or value-based payment initiatives
- Direct exposure to value-based care models, managed care operations, technology and solution partners/vendors, drug reimbursement and pricing policy, or financial services intersecting with healthcare
- Experience working with large healthcare datasets, including cleaning, managing, and analyzing complex sources
- Exposure to technology strategy work, including business and technical requirements gathering, gap analysis, system selection, and implementation
- Master's degree: MBA, MPP, MPH or other similar equivalent
