The Associate Director, Market Intelligence, will own and drive the enterprise market intelligence agenda, translating market and competitive insights into strategic action and embedding those insights across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise market intelligence agenda and own end-to-end delivery of insights across PD and acute portfolios, aligned to the highest-priority business questions (e.g., market entry, growth opportunities, competitive threats)
- Conduct and synthesize primary and secondary research to generate insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity
- Develop and maintain market models, revenue forecasts, and segmentation frameworks to support portfolio and commercial planning
- Translate competitive intelligence into clear implications and recommended actions for the business
- Lead integration of market and competitive insights into executive decision-making; serve as primary thought partner to Commercial and Marketing leadership on go-to-market strategies, pricing, and positioning decisions
- Lead the market intelligence input to portfolio strategy and planning processes, ensuring structured, enterprise-wide market and customer perspectives are represented in key business decisions
- Lead the development of executive-level deliverables, including strategic reviews and planning discussions; accountable for the quality and strategic alignment of all insight-driven outputs presented to senior leadership
- Diagnose systemic gaps between insights generated and actions taken; lead the resolution of adoption barriers across stakeholder groups
- Develop tools, templates, and communication approaches that make insights accessible and actionable for field and functional teams
- Champion change initiatives tied to new ways of working; accountable for ensuring alignment, clarity, and sustained behavioral shifts across stakeholders at all levels
- Act as a connector across functions to reinforce alignment and consistency in how market insights are used
- Own the roadmap for market intelligence capability development, including process improvements, data source governance, and quality standards across the team
- Lead the effort to build a strong, insight-driven culture across the organization; model standards for analytical rigor and strategic communication
- Provide direct functional guidance and quality oversight to the Senior Manager; mentor junior team members and elevate the overall quality of analytical outputs across the team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6–10+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, consulting, or commercial analytics. Relevant advanced degree research (e.g., Master's or PhD) may be considered toward the years-of-experience requirement
- Demonstrated experience leading market research and translating insights into business recommendations
- Solid financial and analytical capabilities, including revenue models and business case development
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analysis into insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic Thinking: Able to quickly ramp up on complex issues and synthesizes insights into actionable strategies and outputs
- Executive Presence: Builds credibility and trust with senior stakeholders; able to identify paths for aligning diverse perspectives
- Analytical Problem Solving: Brings strong quantitative and qualitative skills to drive market models, evaluate business impact, and guide decision-making
- Project Leadership: Able to drive large, multi-stakeholder initiatives to successful execution

- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Preference for strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, including customers, competitors, and regulatory considerations
