[Remote] Fractional Head of AEO/SEO

Authentic Ego is a science-first clinical skincare brand designed for complex, sensitive skin, and they are seeking a Fractional Head of AEO/SEO to lead organic search and AI discovery as the company grows. This senior, fractional, hands-on role involves defining site architecture, technical SEO foundation, content structure, and authority strategy to improve visibility across search and AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define the AEO, GEO and SEO architecture for the new website
• Develop the information hierarchy, URL structure, internal-linking system and schema strategy
• Ensure the site is crawlable and indexable across search engines and relevant AI platforms
• Build content templates that support rankings, citations and conversion
• Develop an authority-building and digital public relations strategy with our VP of Marketing and Founder
• Improve the brand’s entity footprint and third-party corroboration
• Establish reporting for rankings, organic traffic, AI citations and share of model
• Work with our Founder, developers and content team through launch and ongoing optimization

Skills

• Senior technical SEO experience, including new-site architecture and migrations
• Practical experience improving brand or website visibility in AI-generated answers
• Experience with direct-to-consumer or e-commerce brands
• Strong understanding of structured data, internal linking, content architecture and technical indexing
• Ability to work carefully with scientific, clinical and technical product claims
• Experience in skincare, beauty, health or another evidence-led category is preferred
