[Remote] Grant Writer (Volunteer)

For The One is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to equipping, enhancing, and empowering nations to sustainably prevent and intervene in the exploitation and abuse of children and women. They are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to help identify funding opportunities and develop compelling grant proposals that support prevention initiatives and survivor aftercare programs. Responsibilities • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other funding sources • Assist in developing and writing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications • Collaborate with leadership to gather program information, budgets, impact data, and supporting documentation • Help maintain a grants calendar and track application deadlines • Assist with grant reporting requirements and funder communications as needed • Conduct prospect research on potential funding partners • Support the development of compelling narratives that communicate organizational impact and mission Skills • Strong written communication and storytelling skills • Excellent research and organizational abilities • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects • Passion for nonprofit work and protecting vulnerable children and women • Located within the Continental United States • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding organizational information • Previous grant writing experience for nonprofits, educational institutions, or community organizations • Experience researching foundations and funding opportunities • Familiarity with grant management platforms and donor databases • Experience writing persuasive proposals, reports, or fundraising materials • Understanding of nonprofit operations and program development • Knowledge of human trafficking prevention, child protection, survivor services, law enforcement partnerships, or international development • Demonstrated experience writing persuasive content, proposals, reports, or fundraising materials preferred • 1–3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, proposal writing, technical writing, or a related field preferred but not required Benefits • Flexible schedule • Remote volunteer position • Meaningful experience supporting an international anti-exploitation organization • Opportunity to contribute directly to programs that protect vulnerable children and women • Exposure to nonprofit development, fundraising, and grant strategy • Professional references based on performance and commitment • The chance to help create lasting impact through sustainable prevention, intervention, and aftercare initiatives Company Overview • For The One works to find those that are being exploited and abused globally and protect them in order to experience a life of freedom.
