The Lead Director will oversee the implementation and ongoing improvement of BlackLine Journal Entry processes, focusing on enhancing financial close and reporting through standardization and automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Black Line Journal Entry capabilities
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across accounting operations
- Establish and manage governance, controls, and compliance frameworks
- Lead change management efforts and promote user adoption of new processes and technology
- Build and oversee the Black Line Journal Entry Center of Excellence (COE)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial close efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to deliver finance transformation goals
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or accounting systems
- Experience leading finance transformation or system implementation projects (such as BlackLine, SAP, or Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and financial close processes
- Experience with process improvement, internal controls, and SOX compliance
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Accounting, Finance, and IT teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- MBA preferred
