Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Russell Tobin's client, an American social networking platform company, is hiring a part-time remote Lifecycle Marketing Manager. The role involves owning the strategy, planning, optimization, and performance of automated lifecycle marketing programs to guide SMB customers through their journey.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business, product, growth, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify lifecycle marketing opportunities and translate them into actionable campaign plans
- Own lifecycle journey strategy and optimization for always-on marketing programs, including:
- Audience segmentation
- Trigger logic
- Message sequencing
- Journey mapping
- Testing strategies
- Performance recommendations
- Define target audiences, segmentation strategies, lifecycle stages, customer triggers, suppression logic, and desired customer behaviors
- Create detailed campaign and journey briefs for Content, Design, Marketing Operations, and Campaign Operations teams
- Manage requests through creative and operational workflows, ensuring stakeholders have the information needed for successful execution
- Coordinate A/B testing across:
- Subject lines
- Messaging
- Calls-to-action (CTAs)
- Audience segments
- Timing
- Offers
- Journey paths
- Analyze campaign performance, identify funnel drop-offs, and recommend ongoing optimizations
- Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure scalable implementation of workflows, routing, suppression rules, attribution, deliverability, and governance
- Maintain lifecycle documentation, testing results, best practices, and playbooks to support long-term operational excellence
Skills
- 4–6+ years of experience in:
- Lifecycle Marketing
- CRM Marketing
- Email Marketing
- Growth Marketing
- Demand Generation
- Hands-on experience using marketing automation or CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred)
- Strong experience with customer journey mapping and lifecycle automation
- Ability to build and optimize:
- Trigger-based journeys
- Nurture campaigns
- Onboarding programs
- Reactivation campaigns
- Suppression and fatigue management strategies
- Experience designing and executing A/B testing across messaging, timing, audience segmentation, CTAs, and journey paths
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify funnel performance issues and recommend data-driven improvements
- Working knowledge of HubSpot workflows sufficient to collaborate effectively with Marketing Operations teams
- Experience working cross-functionally with Content, Design, Product, Sales, and Marketing Operations teams
- Advanced HubSpot workflow experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce campaigns, campaign members, and status management
- Experience with email deliverability and list health best practices
- Knowledge of attribution modeling, lead scoring, routing logic, and lifecycle governance
- Experience supporting B2B, SMB, SaaS, marketplace, advertising, or self-service customer acquisition
