The Manager, Events & Healthcare Conferences will lead the planning and execution of various events, overseeing a team and collaborating with multiple departments to enhance customer engagement and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of internal meetings, sales events, recognition programs, healthcare conferences, and trade shows
- Manage a team of event planners while driving consistent execution, project management excellence, and exceptional attendee experiences
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Enablement, and leadership teams to align events with business priorities and commercial objectives
- Oversee vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, event budgets, and onsite execution to ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget
- Lead Solventum’s convention and tradeshow portfolio, including exhibit strategy, lead capture, CRM integration, and post-event performance measurement
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and data privacy requirements
- Implement technology, automation, and best practices that improve planning efficiency, reporting, and attendee engagement
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and performance scorecards that demonstrate event effectiveness and business impact
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in corporate or commercial event management, including experience leading large-scale meetings, sales and incentive events, and/or association congresses and tradeshows
- Experience managing large-scale corporate meetings, sales meetings, incentive programs, healthcare conferences, and tradeshows
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports
- Strong project management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management skills
- Experience with Cvent, Concur, or similar event technologies
- Knowledge of AdvaMed Code, Sunshine Act/Open Payments, and healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience in MedTech, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Professional certifications such as CMP, CMM, or HMCC preferred
- Master's degree (MBA or related) or advanced coursework in marketing, hospitality, or healthcare management
